SB Specialty Metals is announcing a price increase effective with orders placed January 8, 2018. Tool Steels and High Speed Steels will see an increase from 3-5% and all Powder Metallurgy grades will be subject to a 4% increase across the board.

Over the last 3 years, health insurance, wages and general operational expense have risen steadily. In addition to that the mills have become very busy over the last six to nine months with lead times extending and pricing gaining strength. This price increase will affect all transactional business. SB Specialty Metals will honor customer pricing agreements through the terms of the contract. New programs will be under review to maintain price continuity and profitability going forward.
