SB Specialty Metals is introducing a premium sprayform D2 Tool Steel. The unique Sprayform process creates improved microstructure, resulting in improved properties, compared to conventional steel, yet it costs less than HIP’d powdered metallurgy steels. 

PSB27 provides 3X or higher the performance of D2 and is perfect for those applications where the cost of HIP’d PM is too high, yet D2 is not quite good enough to meet the demands of modern manufacturing.
