SB Specialty Metals has completed the installation of two plate milling machines in our Dayton, OH facility.  Integrating the plate milling process improves the service we are able to provide to our customers.  We are able to descale plates from the mill and then fine mill the descaled plates.  These plates are then ripped into bars and stocked in our 6 service centers located in Dayton, OH; Chicago, IL; Elk Grove Village, IL; Meadville, PA; Detroit, MI and Arlington, TX.  We are able to mill cold work tool steel, hot work tool steel, PM tool steel and Spray Formed Tool Steel.

There is something oddly relaxing about watching the milling. Take a brake and relax… We call it Making Chips!
