10/26/15 – SB Specialty Metals expands straightening capacity

SB Specialty Metals has just finished installing a #1 Medart straightener.  The new straightener is equipped with auto load and un-load capabilities. The addition of the new straightener and the recently added twin grip grinders increases internal grinding and straightening capacity to 2.5 inches in diameter.    Click here to see the new straightener in action.

SB Specialty Metals now offering M42 flat products

Due to demand from customers, SB Specialty Metals has added a line of flat M42 high speed steel to its inventory.  The material is being stocked in the hot rolled condition in sizes to finish from 0.780 inches thick through 1.875 inches thick.  All M42 conforms to ASTM A600 requirements.

SM-100 becomes available in March 2015 SB Specialty Metals has entered an exclusive agreement with Puris to distribute SM-100 sheet products for blade steels.
